When drawing the larger ships, even at this stage detail unlike the previous pieces become more subtle to help emphasize the size of the ship and help with scale when put along side the previous concepts. Still at this time finding the shape that is a continuation of the aesthetics of other ships, such as the beam like pieces, fins and open prow, and exposed command bridge
Decided to start from scratch as I felt the previous perceptive would not show enough of the ship (mostly the side). This way I am planning to be able to show a lot more detail.
Decided to use a different prow, based on the original tuning fork like prow on the Sol Confederacy Lancer Fighter, I also want to add the simply external plating I used on the frigate to further bring a sense of continuity.
Added turrets and refining plating and tonal values.
Finalized concept before removing color with the saturation tool to bring the ship to its faction scheme.
Then using the curves tool to bring the values down to look more black.
Finally adding the red stripes and other effects.
